High Idle problems 700 1990

Ok, found the problem.
Turns out that the IAC was bad. Once I replaced it the idle dropped to a steady 1500rpm. Next, my mechanic found that the throttle plate was off. He had to actually adjust the two screws that hold the plate. Seems like it must have moved a bit, since it hadn't been fully closed for over two years.
Now the car idles very smooth at around 900-1k rpm.
