Tailgate trim 700 1987

Hello,

Just wondering if the method in removing the window trim/moulding (black & chrome) from around the window of the tailgate of an 87 765ti is the same as it is for the winsheild trim, where all you have to do is slide the trim piece untill the clips become unhooked? or is there another way?
