water valve question 700

hi i recently replaced the water heater valve on an a.c. car, it goes right against the engine firewall. Well my question is on the lower hose at the tip of the hose their are dots of radiator fluid that form their when the car is hot where the hose tip meets the plastic valve stem, is that common or should their not being any liquid forming at all. Any help would be nice.
