B230FT into a P1800? 1800

I recently wrecked my pristine '85 745ti, and now have an engine that needs a new smog exempt home. I was thinking of possibly puttin it in a P1800, I have found one locally with no engine/trans. I measured and think the B230FT will fit in the engine compartment of the P1800. Has anyone seen this kind of conversion done, or better yet done one themselves?
