Broken Door Handle 200

I've read the archives and know how to proceed
but given my car's symptoms, I'm wondering if
any of you have an idea of the parts I'll need.
I suppose I'd rather have them in hand if possible,
before I pull the door apart.

Here's what I know...

One minute it worked fine. I took off for Radio Shack last
week. The door handle felt totally normal. I drove over
the mountain pass (bumpy) to RS, bought what I needed and
came out to the car. Tried to open the door and the handle
came most of the way up with no resistance. More clues to
follow.

I just knocked 8" of fresh snow off the car and pulled it
into the garage to warm up. I was messing around with the
handle and realized that I could still open the door by
pulling a little further at the rear edge (side the rod
is attached to). That worked three times before something
made a faint pop sound and now the handle won't fully return
to being flush with the door and it can no longer actuate the
latch.

I thought that was odd enough to glean some additional info
from the experienced before proceeding. Do you think I just
need to reattach something or is it likely I'll need a new
handle or other parts?

Thanks,

Ron
