About to pull the trigger on a steering rack. Any reason I shouldn't? 900

Hi guys. I think it's time for a steering rack replacement in our '92 940 (172k). Shaking front end at highway speeds, uneven power steering (wheel) effort, steering that 'breaks loose' or 'frees up' on right-hand turns.

New tires and balancing. All new front end components, except for inner/outer tie rod ends and sway bar bushings. New ball joints, strut inserts, radius arm bushings. Alignment feels pretty good... Rotors are fine - stops without steering wheel shake or pedal pulsation.

Ashamed to say I've NEVER bled the power steering system. Ever. I have drained the filler bottle and refilled, but never bled dry, or drained, and filled back up.. But the fluid seems ok and not burnt.

I have no problem ordering the rack and putting it in. Just wondering if you guys think it's time for me to try it? If so, what else should I do...?
* power steering hoses
* outer tie rod ends
* sway bar bushings

OR>>>>>> should I replace these items first, bleed the PS system and see what happens before I replace the rack? Thanks guys!
