So I'm currently dealing with a corroded harness and am considering full R&R. When I went to dig into the harness under the Int. Man. it really strated to fall apart, so my analysis has kinda painted me into a corner (i.e., I've damaged it too much to leave it alone). However, I've found the damage in mine is pretty specific to the green wires (injectors?), so in the end it will really depend on how extensive the damage to the harness is.
Regardless, I have some questions about a new harness I'm hoping other Brickers can give me insight on. I was looking at the pictures provided by online parts houses, and I'm wondering how do you tell the injector wire order? On my existing one I've labeled them before unclipping, but on a new one I don't think I woiuld have any idea what order to connect them in. Does it matter (I'm assuming it controls the order they squirt in)?
On that same note, how do you tell harnesses for the IAC from ones like the Temp Sender? Do you just do it by look? Do replacement harnesses come with instructions or some kind of key? Are the connectors tagged?
Thanks in advance, sorry if this is really basic. Any insight is appreciated.
Thanks,
Rick
