123 GT 120-130 1967

Can someone tell me how on EARTH an antique auto appraiser could possibly appraise a 1967 123GT for $35,000? No matter how nice and original this car could be-could it possibly be worth $35,000? Who the heck would pay that for a 122 with a tach? (I ran in to someone the other day who was boasting about this recent appraisal). Just wanted to get some opinions-and please-no offense intended to all of you 123GT owners out there! :)
