I can't picture the power steering hose, so can't be of much help there.
"Raised rubber bump" - My 740 has two of them in the duct elbow (just before it enters the throttle body) The first one is a "closed bump" and does nothing. The second one, however, points aft and is the connection for the hose that provides a venting path from the flame arrester. See the diagram here:
http://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/EngineSealsBeltsVent.htm#Crankcase_Ventilation_ A_Treatise
The opposite end of this hose connects to the flame arrester right between the #3 and #4 cylinders intake manifold tubes. There should also be a small vacuum hose from the side of the flame arrester to the intake manifold. Running straight down from the flame arrester is another hose that connects to the oil separator box on the side of the engine block next door to the starter motor.
Heater valve - If you follow the two heater hoses that come out of the firewall (right behind the intake manifold), one of them connects to the heater control valve. It's a small gizmo, only a couple inches long, and should have a vacuum hose that also comes through the firewall and connects to it.
