Well, let's see what I've learned from the Brickboard in the last year or so...

Symptoms: Something in the exhaust system is rattling. Suspect the heat shield, figure a couple of well placed sheet metal screws should take care of it when I get home from the weekend outing. On the way home notice that the car is down on power. It's a bit sluggish and, once up to cruising speed, there is nothing left. Now I suspect the cat has come apart internally, which really sucks cuz the car just passed a smog test a month ago, I figured I was off the hook for a cat for at least another couple of years.

Sho'nuf, the shop put it up on the rack and declared the cat dead...rip

Now she's sportin' a Flomaster Hi-Flo and runs like a scalded kitty ;-)
