I agree. There is no need to rip the intake manifold off the head. I removed the distributor cap, air intake hosing, and an air bypass hose, oh and PCV unit and it was fairly simple to get at from the front. I squeezed in my left hand under the left side of the intake manifold, and with the tranny dipstick removed got my right hand through on the right. The sensor came out no sweat with no coolant leakage, but prepared anyway for some. Why are you wanting to replace the sensor? Just wondering what your running conditions are.
