I have a 1988 240 that I bought with a non functioning temp guage. It will work some times while other times it won't work. Sometimes it sits right at 9:00, while other times it sits slightly lower. The previous owner said that he had done 2 out of the three things his machanic said it might need. I guess it must have been the third thing. What would that be. I was thinking about pulling the cluster out this weekend and trying to clean off any corrosian on the connections. Would this even be a possible solution, or what might be a better idea?
How would I remove the guage cluster? Do I need to remove the steering wheel first?
Thanks and Happy Bricking!
