erratic idle misfires 900 1995

My 945 LPT is running with a stable 900 rpm in idle, but it feels and looks like the engine is skipping 2-3 ignition firing every minute or so.
I have changed plugs, wire, distributor cap and rotor, without any change.
I think the misfiring also takes place while driving though its harder to notice. Does anyone have a hint on what to check?
How can I verify that the power stage module for the ignition is performing OK.
