I believe it will be happy with 100 microfarads. Nowadays I'm pretty certain you could find 35V or 50V ratings even smaller physically than the original; but you are plenty covered with 20 volts. If you're planning to stop by radio shack or somewhere on the way home, I believe the radial lead caps in the clock are about 3/8 dia. and about 1/2" high.
