'Accelerate' function 200 1989

I have an '88 245, with the engine-vacuum actuated cruise control
that has all of its parts marked "Volvo/Specific Cruise Systems."
Pressing the button at the end of the turn signal lever for
several seconds causes the car to slow down. OTOH, pressing
the button for a short time (like clicking a mouse) causes the
car to accelerate by approx. 5km/h after each press. I don't
know if it's meant to work this way, or if it's an artifact of
how the cruise 'brain' works, but here it is ...
