Problem with seat Up and Down vertical switch only

I am able to recline the back rest , go forward and back horizontally , tilt the entire seat back, however.......

On both sides of my 760 T wagon though I can not make the seat rise straight up and down. I can hear the switch click and make the attempt but the seat does sothing. When I look under the seat, I can see the cable that works it bend when I throw the switch. So it looks like the switch is working but where the cable meets the motor and turns, it will not turn?

Any suggestions? It is not that important but I would like to try and get it to work for fun...and w/o running over a finger on the track beneath the seat.
