Power steering issue - am I on the right track?

Found a broken sway bar link - the straight rod had busted. Probably not the entire problem but part of it. Ordered most of the front suspension bushes and ball joints from FCP.

Plus, I took off an entire exhaust system - forgot it was a 740 and the one pipe goes over the axle - had to cut that off with grinding wheel! But the new one will go on like a dream tomorrow
