what pressure regulator is this??? (pics)

i picked it up of a I6 BMW from the junkyard. bosch part # 280 160 115. i think it was used as some sort of vac limiter so i don't know how strong the diaphram is inside of it



but yea anyone have any ideas on what this is?? i mean its adjustible as you can see the nut on the top so that center part can screw in and out ... and Then there is a vac signal on it so it looks like it can be used/or is a rising rate regluator

anyone got any idea's??? they are pretty cheap and there is usually 2-3 of them each month or so in the local yard to let me know
