Alternative dash board light bulbs

The new Volvo I got has the light bulbs out in the dash switch panel. Has anyone devised a solution to replacing those bulbs without having to buy entirely new ones at 7 to 9 dollars a piece. I now the bulbs themselves are only 1 or 2 dollars but they are soldered into place and not a fitting style bulb holder.
