Fixed pics and omissions.

Silicone grease would be the best choice. I use plain grease (the big bucket that I have sitting in the engine compartment) and I haven't seen that it causes much trouble with degradation of seals or anything, but silicone would be safer, especially for those cars that never get driven... and the water pump never has to get changed out for 10 years.
