I recently had some problems with my alternator. I think I have the situation under control but I was wondering if anyone could acknowledge that the following voltage values across the battery are normal-

Everything off - 12.6V
Car running - 13.6V
Car running - everything on (brights, defrost, etc) 13.4V

Are the the last two numbers sufficient for charging?

Also, does anyone have a good method of checking the system for shorts/drains?
