Powerful engines do not wreck everything, including the environment and social fabric. It is comon knowledge that todays more powerfull engines are much more environmentaly friendly than any B20 ever dreamed of. Volvos last a long time because the chasis can handle a life time of driving. I know people will tell you that they have 300K on there B20. However I have never seen one go much past 150 with out a worn cam, worn lifters, worn valve guides, worn timing gears etc. The combustion chamber design in a B21/23 promotes much better combustion burn keeping the emitions down.
Just my humble 02 cents worth.
