No start problem - Electrically challenged 200 1990

Loose/corroded battery terminal is my guess. Sparked when you engaged starter igniting hydrogen gas emitted by battery, blowing caps off. Batteries WILL blow up given the chance, I have scars to prove it. Be careful. Hope you made it home. rcs
