spark plug and wire question 700 1987

Wow a lighter wallet for sure... getting spark from the distributor to the plug with as little loss as possible is not nearly that expensive... I scrounged a set of 8mm blue max solid core wires together for $0.00 between leftovers from a bike project and a couple from a friend. and they'll take all I give'em. I'd say build the rest of the motor first untill you just absolutly need to have a $150.00 set of wires to handle the spark....my guess is you'll be in at least a "top fuel" class...

The fancy spark plugs... I run these by my race car building buddy from time to time...the answer is always the same "Don't waste your money" I realize this is a small pond but he was track champ 3 or 4 years in a row... I trust his judgement...on spark plugs anyway.

Now if your looking at these for "cool" factor...then by all means... they are super pretty. but stick to a Bosh or NGK plug... nothing fancy.
One mans opinion... and you know what men are like...
