Matt,

Most people who use DCO(E) carbs don't use the chokes at all. I usually give 2-3 pumps before cranking, and then it fires right up. You gotta work with the throttle for a minute or two, and then they'll stay running.

How far off the seats do you have the idle mix screws for best idle?

I use NGK BP7HS plugs in high-CR motors and BP6HS in low-CR, if that helps.
