B20 knocking only when warm

I'm with Don. You can't usually tell a knocking timing gear by looking
at it but maybe by turning it back and forth (you can turn the nut back and
forth and see if the gear follows it exactly).

On my 164 the cam would stop at about 5000 rpm and when I stopped it would
be idling perfectly. It lasted a couple more months and then absolutely
quit.
