No wisdom here, that is for sure, but I noticed that twice in the 1000 miles I drove Grandma's 944 during the week or so I was working on it. I didn't tie it to the A/C, but it is very likely, because I had it on. Both times it was shortly after a hot start. It happened so rarely I chalked it up to something peculiar to the King-Queen system. Felt like no fuel delivery or vapor lock. Never did check the pressure even though it has a handy shraeder valve on the rail.
