The solution to the boil-over 700 1989

Thanks to all the guys who gave me suggestions. The cause was very simple. When I tried to unscrew the cap on the resevoir the gasket must have gotten stuck and stretched. When I took the cap off I saw the gasket was pulled out of shape leaving a gap big enough to allow the coolant to boil out of the tank which could not vent pressure properly. All told it lost about 3/4 of a gallon of coolant which I don't think is too bad considering the capacity of the cooling system is 9 some odd liter which is about 3 gallons or so. Also, the coolant loss was occuring at idle speed. Now on to tackling that problem with the stumbling idle.
