Strut Question 700

Hi:

I'm getting ready to do a Front End job (New Struts, Boots, Bushings, Ball Joints, Tie rod ends, the works). on my 1986 740 Turbo Wagon. I've noticed something that bothers me. The Haynes Manual says that the eccentric Strut Tower, top bushing and nut, should be favoring the back of the car. My left side is favoring the back but my right is favoring the front.

Was this done by by some alignment specialist for a reason. Or is it a mistake (Which I suspect). The car has always pulled slightly to the right ever since I've owned it. I don't want to put it back this way if it's wrong.

Thanks for any help.
