Turbo installation question.

I always install the turbo drain tube after bolting the turbo to the exhaust manifold.

Use no sealant on the o-ring on the end of the turbo oil drain tube.

I always crank the engine for one minute, with the coil lead disconnected, to make sure the turbo has plenty of oil before starting the car after turbo replacement.
