How do I replace some dash lights? S90-V90 1998

I have similar problems with my V90.

I got the radio out and replaced the lights in it. It was somewhat tedious to remove the bulbs from the holders and replace them but I made it. Per another post I got the bulbs from Radio Shack 272-1092.

Now to the ECC... I can see the two screws in the lower part of the trim pannel when I remove the ash tray but it looks like the trim cover for the shifter wants to come out first. How does this come out or is this not necessary? By the way the Volvo parts man said the ECC lights are not the same as the dash lights.

I also found the clips in the radio recess and was able to press them in but the pannel did not want to release over toward the steering colum. Since these things are reputed to be very fragile I left well enough alone and decided to seek futher instruction.

Also more-how do you get to the bulb in the center console stroage box?
