Air not that strong - may have to take it back to servicer - hints ?

Good morning ..
Last week had my wifes 940T topped off with R134 at a local shop. At the time I thought he spent way to LITTLE time on it, and the first can that he started with was already attached to his gauges (so I do not know if it was full). He emptied what was in that one - and hooked up another (which I am not sure if he emptied).

Initially the gauges showed good, but the air was not that cold. He had me rev it up and hold it a bit - and was watching the bubble between his guages - adding more freon until that supposedly cleared.

Anyway, my wife is saying that it is back to where it was - not getting that cold - plus it has that MUSTY SMELL that she complained about before.

Should I go back to the shop - or use my bro-in-laws Walmart kit to just get as much R134 in that it will hold? The shop has told me that he will not re-charge me labor - just the cost of any freon at 7.50 a can.
