Sorry to inject a dose of realism into this erudite conversation but are you not getting just a little bit anal about this?
Does your oil warning light take a long time to go out?
If it not, then what are you worried about?
I wish I had nothing better to worry about in this life than the material composition of my oil filter check valve!!!!
