yes indeed, i can lend a hand on the technical side of things.

steve, what i was thinking of doing is having values submitted by users. no registration would be necessary. these values could be confirmed by certain select users by using an administrative login (john would be a good choice as well as you and numerous other users).

the values that have not been confirmed yet would have a note indicating so. torque values that HAVE been confirmed will be marked as such as well.

what do you think?

if that sounds good i can whip up something in a few days to test out.
