An addition to my list of "Things that suck to know"
If you are trying to put a low slung car (like maybe a Volvo) up onto ramps so you can crawl under it and work on it, and you are stupid and drive over the end of the ramp (why? because there's no one to guide you, and you are hot and pissy and tired) the frame of the car will be stuck on the ramp. To remove it requires a second set of ramps that you put in front of the tires, and this time pay more attention as you go up them, thus lifting the car to the right height and freeing up the stuck ramps.
Don't ask why I know this.
