'89 740 radio - need code? 700 1989

CNB: My 89 740 GL radio was woking with no sound when I bought the car back in Feb. this year. Situation same I believe, radio lights on when turned on, changed stations, etc., but no sound. In the fuse bank I happened to find a spot labeled 'Audio' it is # 25 if I remember right. Well, this spot was void of fuse. I put one in and 'Bingo' the sound is very good. Keep in mind this is not the fuse spot for the radio, it is seperate. This may be your situation, it is worth checking out if you have not done so. 67 122S 110K, 86 240 DL 255K, 89 740 GL 187K
