91 240 wagon 'check engine light' keeps coming on

I did call the mechanic who ostensibly fixed it last time and asked if he'd at least run the diagnostics again for no charge since it has been less than a week since he "fixed" it last. He told me he doesn't do anything free of charge and couldn't get to it for a week in any event. Needless to say, I do NOT recommend T & W Volvo in Austin TX. Which reminds me - I need to post a message to see if anyone knows a good Volvo mechanic here. Thanks for your response.
