I just bought a 92 745T w 165K on it. It was a one owner and had been cared for well. Many of the miles were long trips between Atlanta and Richmond.

As long as the body is straight, and oil has been changed regularly - along with some record of other repairs - timing belt, trans service - etc. - I would have no problem with a well cared for 940 with - even 200K.

I have seen comment that a older high mileage Volvo is better than one with lower miles - as most of what should have broke - has broke, and been replaced. Good highway miles are really far better for that B230 motor, and it loves to be run.

I think you will find that the 740 or 940 is far more comfortable than the 240. I have had all models - like the 240 a lot, but the controls, seats, comfort stuff to me is all better in the 7/9 series - especially the seats in the 940 - plus they are a bit more stylish.

By the way - I paid 4350 for my 745T.
