impossible problem, need help 200 1991

On my 87, I had a problem with running under heavy throttle. After replacing an in-tank pump (not running), as well as checking fuses, replacing fuel filter, and complete tuneup, all with no improvement, it turned out to be the AMM.
I'm honestly not convinced it was the AMM or just the harness connection to the AMM- I tried another one and the problem went away, then put the old one back and it was ok too.
So.... I guess you were probably fighting the same problem, and were maybe a bit more thorough than I before you got to the bottom of it.
On my 86, I had a surging idle, and fixed both a leaky intake gasket and a perforated AMM intake hose. Much better idle. The gasket is only $3 or so, and it wasn't that hard to do. I'd replace it. Mine was fried- all hard and brittle. 8 nuts, pull it back, do a little scraping. No sealant necessary. Helps to have the throttle body off, more room to work.
You've come this far with it...
The other possible source of intake leaks is the injector seals. You may want to do those too just to rule out one other source.
GOOD LUCK!
