FPR, on the right track still??? 700 1985

Having the european motor (B230ET) it wont have an O2 sensor. Check for fuel in the vacuum line for the FPR. If there is no sign of fuel you may have a bad AFM. However 9 out of 10 times it will run lean instead of rich. Also if someone has tampered with the adjustment on the AFM it can really throw things off. That should only be adjusted by someone with experance and a 4 gas analyser, its VERY EASY TO MAKE IT TOO RICH OR LEAN. Since the car has no O2 sensor that adjustment pretty much sets the mixture. Grey market BMW's have that system also with no O2. and they can be very touchy. If its not those two, you have a stuck open injector, but thats not too likely me thinks.
