Full boost, NO POWER (intermitant condition) 700 1989

Hi, I have been living with this condition on my 89 760 for quite awhile, in one incarnation or another. Sometimes, cycling the ignition will make it go away for a short while (minutes or hours). I have tried different ECU's and AMM's with varying results. I have gone through many sensors, etc. This car has always just run O.K., never up to it's full potential as evidenced by the fact that sometimes it will surprize me and BLAST-OFF like it should. This condition will just come on "all of a sudden" and will have no power up to full boost. If I nail it, the car will at least respond but with very little power. MPG has been down for a long time. Wiring harness seems to be in good shape and efforts to shake the harness at idle have not affected idle, etc. I could go on and on about what I've tried but I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem and what they may have found to solve it. Sorry for the long post.

Thanks

Steve
