Steering rack line change 900 1991

On my 91 940SE turbo wgn, I have a leaking rigid steel line (under the front cross member bolted plate). Road salt I guess.

Other than the standard blasting w/ kroil etc. any hints on what not to do? Can I use heat or will I ruin internal seals? Are the fittings double flare?
