Oil from tailpipe but no smoke... 120-130 1965

So i noticed what looked like an oil blast on the ground where my tailpipe ends and i stuck my hand down into the exhaust with the car running. I came back with small black flecks on my hands which i assume are oil. The only thing is that the car doesnt smoke at all; not at startup or after its warm. I have noticed that i use about 1qrt of oil a month though...Does this sound like a problem with my rings?
