Help free up e-brake! 700

Help! The E-brake on my '85 740 is stuck - anyone have any ideas for a quick fix? the car sat from February until now - when i parked it in feb, i put on the ebrake and then when i tried to move the car last week, the handle went down, but the pad is stuck on the rotor i guess....
what can i use to unstick it??? and does the e-brake use one rear brake or both? Thanks very much in advance.
