Rationalizing Crime 900 1996

First of all, I'm not a crook -- I don't own bootleg copies of any manuals. And for the record, I am a proponent of people being paid a reasonable royalty for their intelectual property. For instance, I do not burn copies of music CDs for other people. But those music CDs are not selling for $500.
Can you explain to me what makes those Volvo CD manuals worth $500?
