Temp Gauge

On my 93 240, I have replaced the "board', checked the wires and all of that good stuff. I have installed a electric puller fan for red lights with the a/c on and now when I turn on the lights, gauge goes up and when I put on the brakes it goes up. I am tried of playing with the volvo gauge. Can I install another gauge that I have. I have the sender and the gauge. I just don't trust the stock one anymore.
