Recently purchased a beautiful 1990 245 wagon with 145K miles from original owner. Interior and exterior of car is immaculate, owner very conscientious about oil changes, seemingly well maintained. HOWEVER, when I took it to my mechanic, it appears transmission fluid hasn't been flushed for a VERY LONG time, i.e. black terrible fluid, but with normal amount of shavings. Haven't noticed any problems with transmission yet, so idea at this point is to replace transmission fluid and recheck in one month. Any advice/suggestions for new volvo owner? Also, I can hear some creaking noises at times (springs/suspension)?
