760gle V-6 engine tick 700

Hello, I am purchasing a one owner 760gle that has 169k on the clock. The car is perfect except for one fault. The engine makes a fairly loud valve tick when cold. It smoothe out when it gets warm. The engine is strong and runs very well. Is there anyone out there that has had the same problem? Is there a fix or an adjustment one can do to smooth out the noise? Any advise would be MUCH appreciated. thanks!
