240DL w/trunk loaded won't start 200

HI y'all,
I got the answer to my first strange problem from this board (buzzer going off
when I hit the brakes--brake lights were out!) but didn't see anyone else with this problem. I have a 1982 240DL. It was running ok until I put 100 pounds of feed in the trunk. Then it wouldn't turn over. I put the feed on the back seat and the car started right up and drove fine. Tried it again and if there's more than about 20 pounds' worth of stuff in the trunk it won't turn over.

Any ideas as to what this could be?
