You're right! About the sensor, I haven't checked the coil wiring. I just ran out to grab lunch and disconnected the KS before leaving. No power at all. I pulled into a parking lot to re-connect it. Apparantly the ECU keeps the ignition timing in full retard with the KS out of circuit. I have another I pulled of a dead 740 so I'll try it.
